From time to time I come across a story or a video that I can’t wait to share with others.  I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It took a considerable amount of time and effort for me to soften my heart to honestly see the hand of God in my conversion to the Church.  In retrospect, I could clearly see that God had a specific plan for me years before I even knew about the Church.  I have always believed that God was real and that Jesus Christ was His Son, but I never truly understood the impact that joining this perfectly organized Church would have on me.

Jesus Christ is the head of the Church.  As a member of the Church, I belong to a local congregation which is led by a bishop.  But the bishop is not the leader of the Church, nor are the many others in positions above him…including our dear Prophet who leads the Church all around the world.  Rather, as in ancient days, the prophet, who is the Lord’s mouthpiece, takes the word of the Lord to the members of the Church who are serving in their respective callings, and together in unity, they help to build up the kingdom of heaven according to the word and will of the Almighty.

As members of the Church, we are uniquely blessed to be directed by a living prophet and apostles who, as in times of old, receive revelation from God.  I can receive my own personal revelation to learn for myself if I am on the right path, and I have found great joy in the truths that I have learned since becoming a member.  Like anyone who experiences joy in their lives, I love to share my source of joy in hopes that someone else will be blessed in the ways that I and many others have been blessed by the knowledge and testimony I have received.

Many do not know or understand the organizational structure of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Here is a brief explanation that could help you learn more about it.
