Fight Song Missionary Mashup | Micah Harmon of One Voice Children’s Choir

February 16, 2019

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  I have been a member for about 30 years I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Latter-day Saint missionaries.  I was only 19 years old at the time when I reluctantly met with the missionaries at the request of my boyfriend (who is now my eternal companion).  I can’t begin to express how deeply thankful I am today for the missionaries who taught me the gospel.  The second I came out of the waters of baptism, my life had changed…for the better.

My husband had served a mission one year after he was baptized.  We were married in the Toronto Ontario Temple three months after he served valiantly for two years.  Our son, Matthew, also served a mission.  It has been about 28 years since my husband returned home from serving in the London England Mission, and about one year since our son returned home from serving in the California Anaheim Mission.  Neither of them goes through the day without drawing on their experiences as missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  The fond memories, long-lasting relationships that they have acquired, people they have taught and planted seeds with, the service rendered to strangers, and the fun times they had were all part of their marvelous experience.  But the one and most important thing that they always remember is the constant companionship of the  Holy Ghost and the lives that were changed because of it.  I’m sure most missionaries will tell you the same thing.

I’m one of those people whose life was changed because of the missionaries and the spirit they carried with them.  I am filled with gratitude for the knowledge I have gained by listening to their message.  But most importantly, I am eternally grateful that the Spirit of the Lord gave me my own personal witness that the message the missionaries delivered to me was of divine nature, and that if I were to be obedient to the things I learned for myself to be true, I would be blessed beyond measure.  I have experienced those blessings every day of my life.  I pray that others will feel the joy and blessings that come from living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

To the missionaries that have served…THANK YOU!  Especially those who have touched my life in one way or another throughout the years.  To the missionaries that are serving now…don’t give up!  Stay strong and keep looking for those that may not even know they need you to bring them to Jesus Christ.  To our future missionaries…we love you and root for you.  Serving a mission is a blessing for all those concerned.

Here is a great video to honor all missionaries!  When I watched this, I was flooded with the beautiful experiences I have had personally because of missionary work and felt a great love for them as children and disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you would like to learn more about the missionaries, or from the missionaries, you can inbox me and I can easily direct you with no obligation as I have done with many others.
