How Can We Create a Culture of Inclusion at Church?

At age 19, I became the only member of my family to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.    Although I had been welcomed beautifully, I could feel that I was different from the others.  In many ways, I felt alone because I didn't have much in common with them in terms of religion and background.  

Exaltation Is a Family Matter

My journey to the temple was not an easy one.  Try explaining to your strict Catholic-Italian father that not only will he not be able to walk his oldest daughter down the aisle, but that he will not be able to enter the temple to watch me be married either!
