When I opened my eyes again, I had a moment of clarity. I watched my friends acting foolishly and no longer saw myself belonging to that group. I left and decided to stop drinking and going to parties. That meant I would need to change my group of friends, which was not easy. But I did it.
Jesus Christ said that "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). But what about those who died without being baptized, or were baptized without proper priesthood authority?
As a convert to the Church myself, and having gone through so much to be baptized, I love hearing about other people's journey to their conversion. Since I have joined the Church, I have experienced again and again the power of prayer. I have seen a man come from darkness to light, a miracle we were losing hope of ever witnessing. This is the true story of my father in law. He has proven that there is a Father in heaven who loves us, hears our prayers, and answers them in His due time.
