Jesus Christ said that "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). But what about those who died without being baptized, or were baptized without proper priesthood authority?
For this reason, I came to a realization that it was just as vital for me to know and understand our brother who was cast out from heaven for rebellion so that I can remember and recognize his tactics in trying to gather and weaken all of Heavenly Father's righteous children.
Since I have joined the Church, I have experienced again and again the power of prayer. I have seen a man come from darkness to light, a miracle we were losing hope of ever witnessing. This is the true story of my father in law. He has proven that there is a Father in heaven who loves us, hears our prayers, and answers them in His due time.
Gaining a personal testimony is necessary and vital to our faith and spiritual journey. Until we have a complete understanding of this, our participation and longevity in the Church may be at risk, and so are the promises and blessings that we can continuously enjoy if we faithfully endure.
Our Heavenly Father provided us all with guidelines and directions which, if followed carefully, will see us safely through this sometimes challenging mortal journey.
